Taormina is up a hill
The town is 200 metres above its station and the cable car does not take a 23 kg case gladly. A bag that leaves from your hotel door never sees the hill again.
Bag It Home · Sicily
Taormina sits on a hill above its own station, Catania's airport is where most Sicilian trips end, and the ceramics from Caltagirone do not fit in the case that was full on arrival. Tell us where the bags are: Taormina, Catania, Palermo, Syracuse, Cefalù or the Aeolian ferry pier. We collect at the door, insure them from that second to your door at home, and you fly from Fontanarossa with a daypack.
From €150 a bag, door to door. ★★★★★ 5.0 on Google · 56 reviews · Every bag insured · You pay nothing until you've seen the exact price
Typical prices
Prices depend on weight, destination and the day. These are the prices we quoted most often this autumn, per bag, collection included. The firm price for your route comes on WhatsApp before you pay anything.
Two bags cost about twice one. A 30 kg case costs more than a 20 kg one. Tell us the exact weight and the price holds.
Why Sicily is different
The town is 200 metres above its station and the cable car does not take a 23 kg case gladly. A bag that leaves from your hotel door never sees the hill again.
Catania serves the east, Palermo the west, and the road between them is three hours. Collection from the hotel the day before means the airport morning is a taxi and a boarding pass.
Lipari, Favignana, Ortigia's bridges: every island hop is a bag carried on and off a boat. Ship it from the last hotel on the mainland and the islands are a daypack.
Where we collect: hotels, B&Bs and apartments in Taormina, Catania, Palermo, Syracuse and Ortigia, Cefalù, Ragusa, Noto, Agrigento and Trapani; Catania and Palermo airports on request. Tell us the address and the time window; we arrange the rest through our partner network.

From €150 a bag. Say where the bags are, where they go and how heavy they are. The typical price shows as you type; the firm price comes in the WhatsApp reply, before you pay anything.
How it works
Tell us where the bags are and where they're going; a real person sends the price on WhatsApp, usually within minutes. A driver collects at the time you choose. The bags travel insured and meet you at home, with a photo at handover. Still travelling? We hold them and ship on the date you choose, so they arrive after you do. The full picture, customs included, is on the Bag It Home page and in the guide to shipping luggage home from Italy.
Hand it over→keep travelling→we deliver it home to you
Yes. The driver comes to the door, hill included. Agree a time window on WhatsApp and leave the bags with reception or hand them over yourself.
From €150 per bag, door to door. Weight, size and destination set the exact price, and you get it on WhatsApp before you commit. Collection in Sicily is included.
Yes. Catania to Lecce was one of this autumn's jobs: typically €100 to €150 a bag within Italy, 2 to 3 working days, hotel to hotel.
Yes, when someone can sign at delivery. We check with the host first. If nobody can, we deliver to a hotel reception or hold the bag until you say.
Usually not. Collection needs one working day's notice in most cities. Tell us when you fly and the first possible collection day comes back in the reply.
Leaving Italy, yes: every bag ships inside a cardboard box, and the hotel reception usually has one. Within Italy a sturdy suitcase can travel as it is. We tell you which applies with the quote.
No. Liquids and aerosols stay in your hand luggage. The carriers refuse them and the whole bag would be stopped.
Typically about €350 a bag to the USA, Canada or Australia, €160 to €200 within Europe and €100 to €150 within Italy, collection included. Weight, destination and the day set the firm price, which you get on WhatsApp before you pay.
P.S. The quote costs nothing and commits you to nothing. The worst case is you learn what it would have cost, and carry the bag anyway.
