Two things to check before you rely on one. The pin on the map is a business, so read its hours rather than the app's. And the flat rate is per bag, which means a family of four is paying €16–24 a day to have their luggage sit in a back room three streets from where it needs to be.
The two stations and the ferry pier
Como has two stations and people book the wrong one constantly. Como San Giovanni sits on the Milan Centrale–Chiasso line and is where most visitors arrive, up the hill from the water. Como Nord Lago is the terminus of the Milan Cadorna line and sits on the lakefront, next to the ferry pier at Piazza Cavour.

If you are catching a boat, remember that Navigazione Laghi charges for luggage per piece on top of your ticket, and the fast services fill up. Four bags on a full hydrofoil in August is a genuinely bad twenty minutes.
When storage is the expensive option
Storage in Como is cheap and good. It is also the wrong purchase for most people who buy it, because the bags do not need to sit in Como. They need to be in Bellagio, or Varenna, or Menaggio, by tonight.
