Pick a depot for your actual ski day

These are listings, not reservations. Contact the shop about your own skis or snowboard, locker size, boot drying, price, current hours and collection outside normal shop hours. Snow Service advertises hotel delivery of rented gear; do not mistake that for a promise to handle a privately owned shipment.

Getting to Cortina with a ski bag

Cortina has no train station in town. The official arrival page lists coaches from Venice Marco Polo Airport and Venezia Mestre, plus bus connections from the rail stations at Dobbiaco and Calalzo di Cadore. It lists the coach terminal at the Ice Stadium. Check the current operator timetable and long-bag policy before booking a connection with skis and suitcases.

If your accommodation is away from the centre, the final leg still matters after the coach. Ask the hotel whether it has a shuttle or a recommended taxi and where it wants to receive gear. A delivery address must be the property’s street address, not “Cortina” or the bus terminal.

Match storage to Tofana, Faloria or the centre

Town-centre storage is useful when you want to collect the kit before deciding where to ski. Socrepes and Pocol are more natural for Tofana days. If you spend most mornings on the Faloria/Cristallo side, check a rental or depot there instead of assuming a locker across town will save you walking.

The Cortina tourism rental directory is a good live starting point for alternatives. Local ski buses and lift access change with the season; check the latest resort map before fixing a depot for the whole week.

Sending your own skis to the hotel

Ask the hotel or chalet to confirm the guest name, full delivery address, a reachable phone, and the days and hours someone can accept a parcel. Tell them how many labelled pieces will arrive. A ski bag, boot bag and suitcase may arrive as three pieces. For a private chalet, agree who will meet the carrier; a key box cannot sign for skis.

Send us the pickup address, hotel contact, first ski day and outside measurements and weight of every packed piece. We check carrier acceptance, protective packaging and delivery estimate before giving a price. Do not book a first-morning lesson around an unconfirmed arrival time. If you need the kit immediately, carry it or rent for the first day.

Leaving Cortina for a city or another resort

Going on to Venice, Florence or Milan without skiing again? Arrange collection from the hotel after your final ski day. Keep the clothes, shoes and medicines you need during the carrier journey. If you are moving to another ski resort and need your own skis the same afternoon, a driver or self-carriage is more dependable than a parcel handover.

The Cortina handover checklist

1. Full collection and destination street addresses, postcodes and countries.
2. Guest name and the contact who will release and receive the pieces.
3. Collection date and first day the gear must be usable.
4. Number of skis, boards, boot pairs and suitcases; outer size and weight of each finished parcel.
5. A photo of the closed package and a note about any fragile or restricted contents.
